Rhumba is a Boston-based graphic design firm serving primarily institutional non-profit clients in the healthcare, philanthropy, higher education, as well as other markets. Since 1998, we've proudly partnered with some of the most effective and dynamic groups in their industries to advance their causes and strengthen their brands.
Rhumba Design was established and is helmed by Marc Harpin. Marc was born in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and attended Rhode Island School of Design, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design in 1989. While at RISD, Marc studied under notable design faculty which included Malcolm Grear, Doug Scott and Michael Rock. He interned with, and later joined Shepard Quraeshi Associates as a Staff Designer where he worked with Samina Quraeshi. Ms. Quraeshi would later become the head of the National Endowment for the Arts' Design Program. Marc also worked for Boston-area design firms Dickinson Associates, and Flanders + Associates. He has been a faculty member at The Art Institute of Boston and Pine Manor College where he taught Design Theory, Typography and Package Design. |
